About The Tour |
|
The Tribute to American
Wilderness Tour idea came from Steve Kean. It was Steve's
lifelong dream to travel and explore an all-star cast of U.S. wilderness
destinations by car, foot, and canoe. During a fishing trip on Cape
Cod with Kevin Dick, Steve talked about this dream. On that day,
while fishing for stripers, a plan was put into motion and the foundation
for OutbackPro was formed.
The Tribute to American Wilderness Tour is an ongoing expedition. Each destination explored consists of multi-day canoe or backpacking trips and represents a spectacular example of American Wilderness. The tour starts with a six month continual expedition which begins at The Little Missouri River and continues through Sequoia National Park. Subsequent journeys include Grand Canyon National Park and Death Valley National Park. Next on the list is a trip back to Glacier National Park for a trek into The Nyack/Coal Creek Wilderness camping zone coupled with a tour of Canyonlands National Park via a 120 mile canoe trip down the Green River through Labyrinth and Stillwater Canyons to the Confluence of the Colorado River. Hope you enjoy the tour, Kevin and Steve |
